NAPHA Class of 2013 Will See Familiar Faces at the Rink Next Year

Lyndsey Hylwa, Gilmour '13 will attend RPI next year
The NAPHA class of 2013 will see graduates go on to hockey careers at the NCAA Division I and III levels as well as to schools in the CIS.
One of the best things about sports are the rivalries, and despite the collegiality of the NAPHA league, the play amongst teams year-in and year-out certainly has created some good ones. While this winter the NAPHA seniors battled against eachother in league play, next fall, some of them may find themselves teammates. Brennan Butler (Northwood) will join Nichols players Ashley Lyman and Kendall Applebaum as they all look to make an impact at SUNY Oswego. Similarly, Marissa Ketterman (Gilmour) will have to make nice with Jenna Lancour (Rice) at the second year program, Franklin Pierce while Justine Gelinas (Stanstead) will team up with Fredee Lalande (Rice) at Plymouth State.
Of course, there will still be plenty of familiar faces on the the opposite benches, too. Gretchen Tarrant (Rice) will be playing for Yale, which will compete in the ECAC against Lyndsey Hylwa (Gilmour) who will play for RPI and Catherine Quirion (Stanstead) who will play for Colgate. Kelly Seward (Nichols) will also face Erin Brand (Northwood) when Penn State faces Syracuse. In the NESCAC world, two Northwood forwards will compete for the Wesleyan Cardinals when they face Erica Gonyaw (Rice) as she battles for the Conn College Camels.
Of course, moving on to the University ranks often means playing against a former teammate as well. two Ridley teammates Jennifer Dillon (Mount Alison) and Courtney Arseneau (UPEI) will compete against eachother in the CIS as many of their NAPHA alumnae do every year.
